The attached registration form will be accepted only with the appropriate deposit and registration fee. All who have registered will receive enrollment forms in June.
The 2010-2011 Wesley Before/After School Program will begin on Tuesday, August 24, 2010, the first day of Dist. #34 Schools. The Before/After School Program will end on Thursday, June 9, 2010, the last day of
Dist. #34 Schools.
The Before & After School Program operates on school days when District #34 is in session for children in
Grades 1st-5th. The 3 sites in which these programs operate are Henking, Westbrook, and Lyon Schools. For the Before School Program, children at Hoffman, Glen Grove, and Pleasant Ridge Schools will be bussed to their schools about 7:15 a.m. For the After School Program, children at Hoffman, Glen Grove, and Pleasant Ridge Schools will remain with Wesley at their Intermediate School for the first hour, then bus (about 3:20 p.m.) to their sister school (Henking, Westbrook, or Lyon) for the remainder of the program.
Hours of Operation:
Before School: 6:45-8:45 AM
After School: 3:30 - 6:00(6:30 late service; additional fee); 2:30 start at the Intermediate schools.
DAYS OFF CAMP:
Wesley offers our Before & After School families a Dayz-Off Camp on days when District #34 is not in session. The hours of operation are 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. The children will participate in a variety of interesting and challenging activities. Exciting fieldtrips are also planned. The fee for the program, $55.00 each day, includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and all fieldtrip expenses. This program is located at Wesley’s mainsite; 727 Harlem Ave. Spaces are limited. Registration will occur about three weeks prior to the Dayz-Off Program. Forms will be e-mailed out and put in you parent folders on-site at the program
The Before & After School Program is not an extended school day. Programming is based on the philosophy that children meet a varying amount of pressures during the school day and need time to unwind. Some children need physical activities, while others are tired and need quiet activities such as projects, games, or homework. Some may wish to spend time socializing with friends, while others need time to “unwind.” Our goal is to meet the individual needs of the children.
We look forward to another safe and successful school year.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Quintas
