
Quality Staff
Our highly experienced and enthusiastic camp staff works with children year-round in our Before & After School Programs, which provide continuity for our campers and families. We also have staff who are teachers in area school districts. The staff holds Education or related degrees or are college level students.

Cost
The weekly 5-day rate tuition fee of $291 per week is due by Wednesday of each week. Less than five days per week attendance option is also available. See pre-registration form for details.
Your tuition and registration fee of $100 includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, all fieldtrip expenses, a camp T-shirt, a camp bag, and Glenview Park District swimming fees. Siblings receive a second child 10% per week tuition discount. Families signing up for all of the 9 full weeks of camp (June 14-Aug 13), may take 1 vacation week and pay ½ tuition for that week if your child is absent one full week. Checks, Money Orders, and Credit Cards accepted.
Meals
Nutritious breakfast, lunch, and pm snack are provided daily and included in your tuition! Mondays and Tuesdays will be either catered or sack lunch. Wednesdays Goode & Fresh Pizza Bakery will provide us with delicious lunches. Thursdays we will have lunch on our fieldtrips. Fridays we will provide the campers with lunch from a variety of area restaurants.

Mornings
Campers are placed in small groups divided by age. Once campers have finished third grade, boys and girls are put in separate groups. During group time, campers participate in arts & crafts, sports, cooking, and various other creative, challenging, exciting & fun activities. Weekly lesson plans are given to families.
*If your child is enrolled in District # 34’s Summer School Program, you can arrange with the District and Wesley bus transportation to and from our camp to the summer school site. Call Wesley for more information.

Theme Days
Wednesdays are Theme Days! Campers participate in age appropriate activities geared towards a theme. Campers are broken up into younger and older groups for theme days that are age appropriate. Carnival Day is always a big hit. Campers put on a carnival for our preschool camp. Other themes may include Hawaiian Day, Big Brother/Big Sister Day, and Hollywood Day.

Swimming
Campers attend Roosevelt Pool daily for free swim on M, T, W, & F. Glenview Pool Passes are not needed for our camp. Your tuition and registration fee covers swimming fees for our camp. To ensure your child’s safety, counselors receive basic water safety training. Our counselors are strategically placed in and around Wesley’s designated swim area. Campers are tested to evaluate their swimming ability. Campers grades 3 and up will go to Flick Pool several times during the summer. (Check our schedule)
Swim lessons are available and optional. Campers are bussed to and from a Glenview Park District Pool to receive swim lessons. Swim lessons will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays. A separate registration form and fee is required for swim lessons. More information regarding swim lessons will be available in spring when camp enrollment packets are sent out. Spaces for swim lessons are limited.

Afternoons__
All campers participate in a variety of age appropriate sports, art, and challenging theme activities through the instruction of specialists. Activities may include cooking, multi-cultural art activities, drama, pottery, story writing, paper mache’, drama activities, basketball, soccer, team building activities, science activities, and much, more!

Fieldtrips
Campers attend fun-filled fieldtrips every week. Camp Summer Dayz offers two fieldtrips for certain weeks! Some of our fieldtrips will include Bowling, Schaumburg Flyers Baseball Game, Enchanted Castle, Pump it Up, Rainbow Falls Water Park, and Action Territory. Campers grades 3 and up will go on several separate fieldtrips including Great America and Orbit Skate Rink.

Special Guests and Events
Special guests and entertainers visit camp throughout the summer and may include magicians, animal acts, Fitness Instructors, One on One Basketball, and more.
Family Night
Parents are treated to a show preformed by the campers. Family Night will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 7:00 p.m. at Wesley’s mainsite, 727 Harlem Ave., Glenview. Mark your calendars!

Inclement Weather
At times when the weather doesn’t allow the campers to go swimming or on certain fieldtrips, whether it is the heat or the rain, our counselors have planned a variety of fun-filled activities for the children at our campsite.

Overnighter
Wesley is offering an overnight lock-in for current (as of 1/1/10) 3rd- 6th graders. The lock-in will be held at Wesley’s mainsite. The fee for the night is $65. Campers play games, watch movies, have pizza and snacks, create crafts, enjoy fun dance music, and other surprises! DATE: Friday, August 6, 2010

Undernighter- NEW THIS YEAR!!!
Wesley is now offering an undernighter for current (as of 1/1/10) kdg-2nd graders. The undernighter will be held at Wesley’s mainsite. The fee for the night is $25. Campers play games, watch movies, have pizza and snacks, create crafts, enjoy fun dance music, and other surprises! DATE: Friday, July 23, 2010.

Counselors in Training and Junior Counselors
The privilege of being a C.I.T. or Junior Counselor is reserved for students who have completed 7th - 9th grade. This program is strictly reserved for previous long-time Wesley campers who posses the knowledge, skill, and maturity level of becoming a leader. C.I.T.’s and Junior Counselors receive on the job leadership training. This program is only offered by invitation from the Camp Director. .

To register for camp, fill out the attached pre-enrollment form and return it with a non-refundable Registration Fee of $100.00 and a one-week’s camp tuition deposit. Drop off or mail form and payment made payable to Wesley Child Care Center at 727 Harlem Avenue, Glenview. Deposits are refundable until April 1, 2010. No exceptions. Once pre-registered, enrollment packets will be sent out in early April.
